Understanding the "Gallery of Findings" Page

The "Gallery of Findings" page provides a highly visual and flexible way to present inspection findings. While the "Summary" page is an excellent all-purpose list, the "Gallery" page is designed for users who prefer a more graphical, card-based layout.

It displays each defect or observation as an individual "card." This visual approach makes it easy for clients and agents to browse findings, group them in different ways, or focus on specific issues.

The Power of Multiple View Layouts

This page's greatest strength is its flexibility. You (the inspector) can control which layouts are available to your clients, allowing them to choose the view that works best for them. The primary views include:

List View: This is a compact, straightforward view, similar to the "Summary of Findings" list. It presents the findings as a simple top-to-bottom list, which is ideal for quick-scanning or printing.
Gallery View: This layout displays the findings as a grid of cards, similar to a photo gallery. This view is highly visual and is particularly effective if you want to emphasize photos in your report.
Kanban (Column) View: This is a powerful layout that groups the finding cards into vertical columns based on a category you define. Common groupings include:
- By System (e.g., Roof, Exterior, Plumbing)
- By Location (e.g., Kitchen, Basement, Attic)
- By Qualified Contractor (e.g., Electrician, Plumber)

The Kanban view is exceptionally useful for agents and clients who are organizing repairs, as they can see all "Plumbing" issues in one dedicated column.

Unmatched Customization for Your Clients

This feature is "highly flexible" because you have complete control over what your clients and agents see.

1. Control Available Views: In your master template, you can decide exactly which views (List, Gallery, Kanban) you want to make available. You could offer all three, or you could simplify the experience and only offer the one that best fits your reporting style.
2. Customize Card Content: You can also customize what information shows up on each card. You can add or remove fields to create a simple, clean card or a highly detailed one. For example, you can choose to show:
- The Finding Title
- The Finding Type (e.g., Defect, Information)

Just like the main summary, this page is fully interactive. Your clients can use the comprehensive filter and sort options at the top of the page. This allows them to instantly narrow down the findings by System, Location, Hazard, Contractor, or any other category you've set up, giving them precise control over the information.
